Combatting Spam

This is a preliminary version of the page that will explain how to fight spam.

One of the ways that spammers get you email address is if it appears on web pages. They often also get it from mail messages sent to public mailing lists, or sometimes mail sent to others, which is harvested for addresses by viruses that have infected the recipients computers.

One thing that I do is that I use different email addresses for different purposes, and if I find that the email address I have given to one company starts to receive spam, I change the address, and complain to the company to which I have given the address.
